I haven't posted in awhile. We've been busy with the holidays and the kids' activities. Also, not much new is happening on the adoption front. Our home study is complete - FINALLY! Our social worker is waiting for final approval from our agency, then it will go to the state for their approval. This process has been taking approx 3-4 weeks. With Christmas quickly approaching, it may be January before we hear anything. After Illinois has approved our home study, it will go to immigration along with our I-800A form. The approval process has been taking 90+ days for most families.

Cooper had his first wrestling meet of the season this past Saturday. They wrestled at the University of Illinois. He had a blast!

Chloe had another (3rd) gymnastics meet. She did GREAT! She was our team high scorer on beam, bars, vault & all around. She ended up placing 2nd on vault, 3rd on bars, 6th on beam, 11th on floor, & 4th all around. Our level 5's placed 3rd in the team competition.

Tomorrow, dh & I are headed to Arthur to pick up what will be the kids' favorite Christmas present. They have been begging for a puppy -- not just any puppy, but a Yorkie. While they were at school a few weeks ago, we made the 1.5 hr trip to an Amish farm & picked out a little female. She's so sweet. She will be here waiting for the kids when they get home from school tomorrow - they have no idea! It's been hard to keep it a secret. Chloe had her laptop out googling "adopt a puppy".
