travel day

5 suitcases, 5 backpacks, 1 tote bag, 2 camera bags, 6 travel pillows, 5 travel size blankets
we left for Chicago on Wednesday around noon.  As you can see, Piper was super excited
Piper wanted to make Presley a "Build-a Bear"
she thinks that we need to visit again as soon as we get home so Pres can make one for her

We ate at the Cheesecake Factory with Justin's brother -- they sat us in the same booth we ate in before we left for our Piper-trip....deja vu!
we took the shuttle to the airport at 7am -- our flight (United) was scheduled to leave at 10:37
Justin's WOD (work-out of the day) -- Farmer's walk with 2 50 lb suitcases, 1 backpack (approx weight 25 lbs), and 1 stroller (purchased last trip to China & will be lucky to make it through this trip)
flight was delayed until around 11:30
and we're off - if you can swing it...upgrade to Economy Plus...the extra leg room was GREAT!!  Also, 777 with the individual seat entertainment systems & 2 outlets per row - AWESOME!
after almost 14 hours, this was an AWESOME site!

we made it to Shanghai around 2:30 pm, checked into the Bund Riverside and then walked to Nanjing Road.  Coop was starving so we stopped at Pizza Hut.  So far, we love Shanghai!  Tons of stuff to do but not as many people as Beijing.  Tomorrow, we are going to the aquarium.
