it's peanut butter cookie time

When I was growing up, I went to church with a lady named HelenTheobald - her husband Walter was a retired minister & I was good friends with her granddaughter.  Helen made what I will title the "world's best peanut butter cookie" - hands down, bar none, Mrs. Fields has nothing on Mrs. Theobald.  Chloe had a total craving for "you know those cookies with peanut butter & a Hershey kiss on top?" so I called up my mom to once again ask for the famous cookie recipe (not sure why #1 I can't remember this oh-so-simple-but-oh-so-yummy recipe & #2 why I haven't written it down the other 100 times I've asked for it).  Don't worry my dear bloggy friends - I won't leave ya hangin'.  I'm sure her recipe has been published in countless church cookbooks so what's one more copy on a blog?
1 cup of creamy peanut butter
1 cup of sugar (or if you want to feel better about the large quantities of cookies you will be eating, go ahead & add Splenda
1 egg
Mix all ingredients together - disclaimer* you will want to double/triple/quadruple (just sayin) this recipe
roll up dough into ball shape & kinda mash down (use a fork to make pretty marks if not adding Hershey kiss) like this
Bake at 350 for oh about 8 min - take out of oven Disclaimer* neither the blog publisher or Mrs. Theobald will be held responsible when you burn your mouth eating the cookies straight from the oven.
OK, now it's your turn - favorite homemade cookie recipe?

I have had those, or something similar, 100s of times, but I never knew they were so easy to make. Now I will be making them! MMMM! Here's a link to my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. They are giant and gooey. Sooo good -- as good as a bakery. Every time I make them, people ask me for the recipe. They are pretty easy, too.
