Home study visit

We had our first home study visit today. SW is very nice. She left us with a HUGE packet to read & then a TON of paperwork to fill out. She's estimating it will take 3-6 months before we will be done with the home study. I'm going to try to make it closer to 3 months! Found out that Illinois is a "weird" (SW's words) state for International Adoption. You have to first be approved for the state & do their paperwork/fingerprints & then you get approved through INS. We have our 2nd visit October 27. Tomorrow I go for my physical and we go Wednesday for our fingerprints (for the state of IL).
